About Communication

1. What do you expect to learn from the podcast project?

While making our podcast, I think we'll collect a lot of detailed information on the difference between Japanese and American culture generally and Japanese and American food specifically. We will also hopefully learn more about how to convey more complex ideas in Japanese succinctly and correctly.

2. What does "communication" mean to you?

Communication encompasses many different things but I think the podcasts will emphasize the ability to impart information in a meaningful way. Information is increasingly conveyed not through print or writing but through other means; the podcasts will be a novel way to communicate information and improve our Japanese ability at the same time.

  1. こんにちはチョさん!

I'm glad to be able to work on this project with you. These are all interesting ideas and I hope that we can manage to convey our own interest in Japanese food properly to our audience properly. In particular, it might be difficult for us to fully convey complex ideas without saying them in roundabout ways, but let's try our best!

  2. I also hope that we are able to communicate our ideas well, so that both American and Japanese audiences can appreciate and understand them. I hope we can make our podcast meaningful, but still have it be fun and interesting.

  3. I agree, many people are more attracted to videos nowadays as it seems to be more of an interactive method as opposed to print. I hope your podcast does well in conveying the differences between american and japanese culture!

  4. I think you are pointing out the very important aspect of media production in the present day. Unlike one or two decades ago, we have so many mediums that we can utilize just to make one single clip. Hope you and your team mates enjoy learning cultural differences in depth and tryout different ways in which you can convey your message. Ganbatte kudasai! TA Murai
